JOB on Broadway!

After a sold-out off-Broadway run at the Connelly Theater, the critically-acclaimed two-hander transferred uptown to Broadway, where it has been extended through October 27 at the Helen Hayes Theater. Described by the Daily Beast as a “cult hit,” the play is a suspenseful stand-off between a young woman working in Big Tech and her crisis therapist.

“Job” was written by Max Wolf Friedlich and directed by Michael Herwitz. Tickets available online and on TodayTix!

The film is currently in post-production.

RULE OF 7x7

Jessie will be playing Lila, a recently heartbroken high school senior with a flair for the dramatic, in Shara Feit’s new short play “NEW CHOREOGRAPHIC WORK...”

The play will premiere as part of the RULE OF 7x7 at The Tank, an “ongoing series that premieres 7 new short plays by 7 writers” that was named a New York Times and Time Out New York highlight.

"LAMBDA" Short Film Completed

“LAMBDA,” a short film that Jessie co-wrote and co-produced with Brooke Weisman, is finished! The film is locked and currently being submitted to festivals.

The film follows two sorority members as they navigate newly complicated relationships in the aftermath of a wild fraternity party. It is an exploration of sexual assault, female friendship, and the blindspots of our own feminism.

“LAMBDA” is Jessie’s writing and producing debut. Ari Shapiro directs.

"Our Colleagues"

Jessie is excited to play Meg in the upcoming independent short film “Our Colleagues,” from director Annelise Ogaard!

About the film: Meg is leading a double life. Despite going through the motions of an ordinary, middle class existence, she is drawn to join a shadowy community which claims to be in contact with alien life.

The film is receiving funding from The Future of Film is Female.

“Dox Modern Middle” Reading

Jessie will play Raphi in a reading of Megan Pope’s new play, “Dox Modern Middle” in early July! Drawing on drag, video, and dance, the play follows Raphaela, a young modern-orthodox Jew who is outed and sent to Israel to heal for the summer. While overseas, she finds healing - but it is far from the process her family intended.

The reading is presented at The Tank as part of PrideFest 2019. https://www.thetanknyc.org/calendar/doxmodernmiddle
